project 52: week 22

What is Project 52? It's a little like Project 365, but instead of the goal of posting a photo each day, I'll post a photo or two each week along with a short update. Really I just need a little push to post something every week. Since I like to keep this space positive, posting every week forces me to look back and find something shiny to talk about (ten points if you get that reference). Some weeks that's a piece of cake. Other weeks it's more of a challenge, and those weeks give this task true meaning.

What's New?
I stumbled on the concept of Bullet Journaling back in early January and decided to give it a try. I'm a list-writer, so it seemed to fit. Right now I'm still trying to work out a system that works for me, which is part of the beauty of bullet journals - they are very customizable. I've found quite a few interesting ideas through Pinterest boards that I'd like to try out. Right now I'm using a two-page spread for each week. The work-week goes on the left, and the weekend goes on the right. I'm using a hard-back Moleskine grid journal, skinny Sharpie pens, and washi tape.

Currently Reading
I'm almost finished with Starhawk's The Fifth Sacred Thing. While I definitely have some issues with this book, overall I enjoy the story. I haven't picked up Virginia Bergin's Water in awhile, due to not taking the bus. I'll take that one on the plane with me so I can finish and return it.

On the Needles
Not much on the needles right now. Of course I have my Hue Shift blanket - only a couple rows until I finish the second of four panels! I have gloves on the needles for Joe, but I need to sit down and do some math because they are too big. I started a Geology Shawl months ago, but I've been too busy to pick it up again. I think I'll take some time this weekend to figure out where I am on the shawl so that I can work on that again. It's the perfect airplane knit, and I have a trip coming up!

Looking Forward To
  1. getting ready to visit Virginia
